Joseph Lee is the Senior Systems Engineer of the Regulated Data Engineering in the University Research Computing (URC) at Harvard. In his role, Joseph will be actively working with research computing (RC) systems to help implement robust cloud-based solutions that maintain standards for health, security, and regulated data compliance of RC systems for diverse research programs.

Joseph carries over his experience and knowledge in architecting custom cloud solutions and helping users design, test, and troubleshoot their solutions within the academic research community at Emory University and Emory Healthcare. He also co-authored an AcademyHealth ARM poster and manuscript for utilizing a cloud-based solution to manage and analyze Medicare claims data while at Emory University. Joseph brings expertise in AWS, DevOps, and cloud security from his diverse background in telecom, entertainment, academic research, and healthcare, with a growing interest in data science. Joseph also has extensive experience in hardware/software research and development and as a technical project manager in research engineering.

Joseph enjoys traveling, mountain biking, back-country snowboarding, skimboarding, and rock climbing. He also loves volunteering with programs that support kids and the homeless.
